Flesh of Language [2024]

Genre : Art Film - Runtime : 18 minutes

Keystone [2023]

Genre : Art film - Runtime : 17 minutes

Keystone is a special arts initiative commissioned by the Clare Arts Office to celebrate 20 years of its Artist in Schools programming. The project, taking place across 2022 and 2023, was designed to mark this milestone anniversary in arts education within County Clare. Through presentations, games, recording sessions and collaborative decision-making, the production of Keystone explored the atmospheres of specific hang-out spots visited by the students from both schools. Drawing on additional support from filmmaker and artist Emily McFarland and electronic music composer Liam McCartan, the students worked with sound and video to communicate the dynamics of these often-peripheral places.

The project won the Arts Portal Documentation Award for 2023.

Genre : Art Film - Runtime : 20 minutes

It Is & I Am explores the origins of myth making on the Island of Ireland through a Queer feminist lens. The statement is an assertion and personal manifesto, arrived at through lived experience, reflection and conversation with the artist’s community of Queer people and Queer artists. In its certainty, this affirmation points to questions of self-identification and the politics of representation. It is one answer to the questions of what is Queer art? Who is a Queer artist?Taking these questions as a starting point, the artist moves through material exploration to reflect on Queerness in creation and art-making. Seeking expansion and fluidity, this process and body of work resist discretion, expanding to include messy multitudes of meanings rather than offering limiting definitive answers.
